Comprehensive strategy and effective protection against mycotoxins
Mycotoxins form a diverse group of toxic secondary metabolites of filamentous micromycetes. Due to their high toxicity, diversity of toxic effects, and mutual synergistic action of individual mycotoxins, they are considered hazardous substances for consumers of contaminated feed and food. They lead to significant economic losses as a result of deteriorated farm animal health and production quality. Following the colonization of feed by molds, there is a decrease in essential amino acids, fats, and carbohydrates due to the utilization of nutrients for their growth. They are highly resistant to any technological treatment and elimination.
