Negative impacts of molds and mycotoxins on the health status and performance of laying hens.
The presence of molds in feed causes significant economic losses for poultry farmers. Molds adversely affect performance by reducing the content of certain nutrients in feed raw materials, decreasing feed utilization efficiency, and producing mycotoxins, which are toxic secondary metabolites.
