Focused on pig and poultry farming
A corporate seminar for pig and poultry farmers was held in mid-May in Hustopeče u Brna, focusing primarily on effective farm sanitation and the risks associated with mycotoxin intoxication in animals. The conclusion was dedicated to a summary of the global situation, its outlook, and impacts on animal production.
The opening presentation by Arjan van de Vondervoort, a representative of the Dutch company Intracare BV, focused on effective environmental and drinking system sanitation in pig and poultry farming. This was followed by the topic of mycotoxin intoxication risks in pigs and poultry, and their impact on health status and performance, which was elaborated in more detail by Assoc. Prof. Ing. Pavel Horký, Ph.D., from Mendel University in Brno. His presentation was followed by our colleague Ing. Kateřina Mrvová, who introduced the audience more closely to our mycotoxin adsorbent – the Fortisorb® Phyto product. At the end of the seminar, Ole Skovbøll from Eskerod & Skovbøll, Denmark, delivered a presentation on the topic of the development of the global situation in agricultural commodities and energy – potential impacts on animal production.
